PAST CONFERENCES
Education through Podcasting (EPOD)'s second annual conference took place 26-27 June 2025, at Morley College London. The focus was: Between entertainment and education - balancing media industry expectations within educational contexts.
This conference cemented a partnership between Routledge, Morley College London, the University of Staffordshire, the University of Leeds, and the University of South Florida. Academics, researchers, and practitioners submitted paper abstracts on their research and experience of teaching and learning through podcasts. These are being peer-reviewed for inclusion in the second EPOD book to be published by Routledge next year.
The conference was a huge success with over 25 papers presented, including guest speakers from The Radio Academy and Audio UK, and inspirational keynotes. Listen to The Radio Academy's great podcast to find out more about the event. The programme for the conference can be found here.
Audio UK, Broadcast Radio, Morley Radio, Routledge and The Radio Academy proudly sponsor EPOD.

EPOD's first conference took place at Morley College London in June 2024. The two-day conference was filled with fascinating presentations by academics and practitioners about their experiences of teaching, researching, learning, and training through podcasts. Speakers were given the opportunity to contribute a chapter to the first book to be published by Routledge. This is currently in production.
